Paws on Child Hunger Backpack Program
The Paws on Child Hunger program is a joint venture between The
Emergency Assistance Center in Northfield and Twinsburg City Schools to
provide nutritional weekend food assistance for Twinsburg students that
receive free or reduced lunches. Our non-descript backpacks include
healthy, filling, and safe-to-prepare (no cooking needed) meals and
snacks to help students have enough to eat throughout their weekends at
home. In 2015, we served 151 students every week in all of the
elementary schools. We plan to include Twinsburg Middle and High Schools
in the near future.
